John Wyma-Hughes

John Wyma-Hughes is the Associate General Counsel of Operations for The Dutra Group. Since joining the firm in 2021, John has assisted the Legal department in contract negotiations, claim management, and corporate compliance. John’s prior experience working for the Federal Government and the small-business private sector provides valuable insight into government contracting, research, and legal interpretation.

John holds a B.Sc. in Experimental Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco, School of Law, where he focused specifically on maritime and federal law. John is an active member of the State Bar of California and has published over a dozen peer-reviewed studies in the field of neuropsychology. John is married to his wife, Elizabeth, and together they are expecting their first child.
