Oakland Harbor 50’ Deepening Project Phase 3E

Project: Upper Newport Bay Ecosystem Restoration Project

Company Role: Joint Venture with Manson Construction.
Contract Amount at Award: $43,108,000
Current Contract Amount: $140,000,000 (due to award of additional options)
Award Date: 10/19/2006
Anticipated Project Duration: Oct 2006 ~ July 2009
Purpose: Deepening of the Oakland Inner and Outer Harbors to minus 50 feet.
Construction Activities:
- Dredging 4.6 Million CY of material from the Oakland Harbor
- Offloading material at and operating the Hamilton Offloading Facility
- Using dredge material to create wetlands at Hamilton Wetlands Restoration Project Reuse Site
- Dredge material transported to Middle Harbor Enhancement Area and San Francisco Deep
Ocean Disposal Site
- BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) tunnel dredging and placement of the stone blanket for
protecting the tunnel structure.
