Dutra Materials is a key supplier of aggregate in Northern California with a strategically located quarry in San Rafael and material distribution centers scattered among the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento delta region.
The San Rafael Rock Quarry, acknowledged as a certified State and Federal resource, is unique because:
- Water-side barge-loading equipment makes it the most cost-effective transporter of quality aggregate in the region.
- An extensive barge and towing fleet allows it to handle any-sized job within its service area -- from projects West of the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Rim.
The San Rafael Rock Quarry has been an active mine for over 100 years. Dutra Materials has an experienced and highly skilled staff which includes geologists as well as mining and civil engineers, all with extensive experience in the aggregate industry. Dutra Materials manufactures a wide variety of products, most of which are available for land-side or water-side distribution.
