EMERGENCY RESPONSE NOTIFICATION - Levee Failure on Bradford Island

The San Rafael Rock Quarry was notified this afternoon by Dominick Gulli, District Engineer for the Bradford Island Reclamation District in the Sacramento-Delta, that Bradford Island has a severe levee failure. The District has declared the situation an emergency and has requested that Dutra respond as soon as possible. The Quarry will need to begin barge loading early tomorrow morning and will continue to load barges and transport rock to the levee failure site until the levee is deemed stable and safe. At this time, we do not expect to be operating any crushing plants and all activities will be associated with barge loading only.
