Purpose: Demolish and dispose of the wharf, which includes removing the predominantly wooden and steel piles that support the current wharf, drive new steel piles and, install a steel cap beam with a deck of precast concrete panels topped and connected by concrete.
Construction Activities:
- Demolition and disposal of approximately 25,000 square foot existing timer dock
- Salvage existing items and piles
- Construct approximately 29,000 square foot dock consisting of installation (drilling and driving) of 16" and 20" diameter steel pipe piles, steel pipe supporting precast concrete deck panels and cast in place deck
- Install utilities and electrical systems
