Purpose: Widen the Blair waterway through demolition of
structures, fencing, barriers, transmission towers, dredging
and excavation
Construction Activities:
- BRC site demolition involving selective removal of ashpalt pavement, storm drainage facilities, fencing, salvage
of concrete barriers
- Pier 4 demolition consisting of removal of 440 lineal feet of existing wharf structure including asphalt and ballast
deck surfacing, abandoned utility lines
- Relocatioin of existing navigation light structures
- Demolition of two existing TPU transmission towers
- Structural improvements at Pier 4 involving new concrete bullrail
- Dredging and disposal of 1,300,000 CY of material and disposal in open water
- Construction of rock slope protection involving filter blanket, rock riprap, and riprap overlay materials
- Water quality monitoring
